1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Recor ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy describes how Recor collects, uses, and shares personal information and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

2. Description of Service

Recor provides software for:

  • Generating product demo videos from a URL and written goal.
  • Automating browser flows and recording screenshots, frames, and timelines.
  • Adding AI-assisted narration, voiceover, captions, thumbnails, and rendering.
  • Saving browser login profiles when you choose to reuse an authenticated session.
  • Managing generated videos and sharing demos through links.

The Service relies on third-party infrastructure and AI providers. Those providers may change as our infrastructure evolves.

3. Accounts

You must:

  • Provide accurate account information.
  • Keep your credentials secure.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Be responsible for activity under your account.
  • Notify us if you believe your account or saved browser profile has been compromised.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance unless otherwise stated at checkout. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing or plan features with reasonable notice.

Failure to pay may result in suspension, downgrade, or loss of access to paid features.

5. Your Content and Data

You retain ownership of the URLs, instructions, screenshots, recordings, videos, browser profile data, captions, voiceover scripts, and other content you provide or generate through Recor.

You grant Recor a limited license to host, process, store, reproduce, display, transmit, and modify your content only as needed to provide, secure, debug, and improve the Service.

You are responsible for making sure your use of Recor, including any app you record and any demo you share, complies with applicable laws, contracts, privacy obligations, and third-party terms.

6. Browser Recording and Saved Login Profiles

You may only use Recor to record websites, apps, accounts, and data that you are authorized to access, record, process, and share.

When using saved login profiles, you agree that you will not:

  • Save or reuse browser sessions for accounts you do not control or have permission to use.
  • Use Recor to bypass authentication, access controls, paywalls, rate limits, or other restrictions.
  • Use saved profiles to impersonate someone else or access data without authorization.
  • Record sensitive or regulated information unless you have the right to do so and have appropriate safeguards in place.

7. AI-Generated Output

Recor may use AI to plan browser actions, create narration, generate voiceover, produce captions, and assist with the demo workflow. AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your use case.

You are responsible for reviewing generated demos before publishing, sharing, or relying on them.

8. Acceptable Use

You may not use Recor to:

  • Violate any law, regulation, contract, or third-party right.
  • Access, record, or distribute data without authorization.
  • Create phishing, malware, fraud, impersonation, deceptive, or abusive content.
  • Scrape, harvest, or extract data from third-party services in violation of their terms.
  • Upload or process payment card numbers, passwords, health data, government ID numbers, or other highly sensitive data unless you are legally authorized and have appropriate safeguards.
  • Interfere with, overload, probe, or disrupt Recor or third-party systems.
  • Reverse engineer, copy, resell, or misuse the Service except as allowed by law.
  • Use generated demos for spam, harassment, deceptive marketing, or unlawful surveillance.

We may suspend accounts, disable demos, remove share links, or block activity if we believe there is abuse, legal risk, or security risk.

9. Shareable Demo Links

If you create or share a demo link, you are responsible for who receives it and whether the demo contains confidential, personal, or third-party information. Anyone with an unlisted share link may be able to view the demo unless additional access controls are provided.

10. Intellectual Property

Recor retains ownership of:

  • The Service, platform code, product design, workflows, and documentation.
  • Recor trademarks, logos, branding, and related assets.
  • System templates, rendering logic, and non-user-specific product improvements.

These Terms do not transfer Recor ownership rights to you.

11. Service Availability

We strive to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may suspend or limit the Service for maintenance, security, abuse prevention, infrastructure failures, or legal reasons.

12. Termination

You may stop using Recor at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create legal or security risk, fail to pay, or misuse the Service.

13. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RECOR DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, AND RELIABILITY.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RECOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL.

RECOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE FEES YOU PAID TO RECOR IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR $100 USD.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Recor harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service.
  • Your recorded apps, generated demos, share links, saved login profiles, or uploaded content.
  • Your violation of these Terms, applicable law, third-party rights, or third-party platform terms.
  • Claims by customers, viewers, end users, regulators, or other third parties related to demos you create or share through Recor.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Delaware law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by notice through the Service, email, or an updated effective date. Continued use of Recor after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
