Recor ("Recor," "we," "us," or "our") provides software for generating product demo videos from a URL and written goal. The service can automate browser flows, record screenshots and frames, generate timelines, add voiceover and captions, render videos, store saved browser login profiles, and provide shareable demo links.

When you create or use a Recor account, we may collect:

• Name, email address, password authentication data, and account preferences.
• Authentication data from supported identity providers, such as Google, if you choose social login.
• Billing and subscription metadata, such as plan, checkout status, billing name, card brand, and last four digits when made available by our payment provider.
• Waitlist, feedback, support, and account messages you send to us.

When you generate demos, we may process:

• The app URL, written goal, generation settings, selected voice, captions setting, and browser profile selection.
• Screenshots, captured frames, browser action logs, generated timelines, thumbnails, rendered video files, captions, scripts, and voiceover audio.
• Job status, processing stage, errors, duration, usage metadata, and related debugging logs.
• Shareable demo links and public or unlisted video URLs when you choose to share a demo.

If you create a saved login profile, Recor may store browser session data needed to reuse that login in later recordings. This can include cookies, local storage, and similar browser state for the site you log into.

Saved profiles may contain access tokens or session cookies. Only save profiles for accounts and applications you are authorized to use. You can delete saved profiles from the product when you no longer need them.

Demo recordings can capture whatever is visible in the browser during a run. That may include product data, customer data, names, emails, dashboards, analytics, or other information shown by the target app.

You are responsible for making sure you have the right to record, process, and share anything visible in the apps you ask Recor to record.

We may automatically collect or process technical information such as:

• IP address, browser, device, and operating system details.
• App pages visited, clicks, feature usage, plan usage, and product events.
• Authentication events, API requests, rate-limiting events, logs, performance telemetry, and crash reports.
• Approximate location signals derived from infrastructure providers, where available.

We use information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve Recor.
• Automate browser flows and generate demo videos from your instructions.
• Create voiceover, captions, thumbnails, share links, and rendered videos.
• Store and reuse saved browser profiles when you choose that feature.
• Process subscriptions, enforce plan limits, and provide support.
• Detect abuse, prevent fraud, secure the service, and debug reliability issues.
• Send transactional emails, security notices, product updates, and account messages.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your demo recordings or saved browser profiles to train our own AI models.

Recor uses AI and speech providers to plan browser actions, write or refine narration, generate voiceover, and create captions. To provide those features, we may send relevant inputs such as your written goal, page metadata, screenshots, generated timeline data, script text, or audio to those providers.

Do not submit highly sensitive, regulated, or confidential information unless you are authorized to process it through Recor and any connected providers.

We use service providers to run Recor. These providers may process data on our behalf as needed to provide their services.

• Supabase for authentication, database, and account infrastructure.
• AWS services, including storage and rendering infrastructure, for recorded assets, videos, thumbnails, and saved browser profiles.
• Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Speech or similar AI providers for browser planning, narration, voiceover, captions, and transcription workflows.
• Polar or similar payment providers for subscriptions, checkout, and billing events.
• Resend or similar providers for transactional email.
• Sentry or similar providers for monitoring, error reporting, and debugging.
• Hosting, CDN, security, and rate-limiting providers as our infrastructure evolves.

We do not sell or rent your data. We may share data only:

• With service providers described in this policy.
• When required by law, subpoena, court order, or legal process.
• To protect Recor, our users, or the public from fraud, abuse, or security threats.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or business transfer.
• When you share a demo link or otherwise direct us to disclose content.

We retain data as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, secure the platform, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.

• Account data is kept while your account is active.
• Demo jobs, videos, timelines, thumbnails, voiceover, and captions are kept while retained in your account or until deleted according to our product behavior.
• Saved browser profiles are kept until you delete them or we remove them under our retention or security practices.
• Billing records may be kept as required by law.
• Security logs, rate-limiting data, and diagnostics may be kept for limited periods for abuse prevention and reliability.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, object to, or restrict certain processing of your data.

Requests may be sent to privacy@recor.cloud. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

We use cookies and similar browser technologies, such as local storage, for authentication, security, session management, preferences, product analytics, and performance monitoring.

We do not use advertising cookies for cross-site behavioral advertising. Some browsers offer Do Not Track signals, but there is not yet a universal standard for responding to them.

Recor is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and provide notice where appropriate.
